HOUSEWIFE : A JOB WITH ENDLESS WORK PRESSURE AND IGNORANCE

LIFE OF A HOUSEWIFE  :

X : "Hey...what's up...long time no see!!"
Y : "So good to see you....I am good...how are you?"
X : "Yeah....I am good....so....what are you doing these days?"
Y : "Um....I am a housewife...what about you?"
X : "Oh...I see(with an awkward smile)...me....I am a school teacher."
Y : "That's very nice.........."
Housewife

This conversation is very much relatable whether that Y is a man or woman. This is a notion most of us have that housewives mean wives who just stay in the house.
We use the term “working women” oftentimes. Just take some time and think....What does it mean? A woman who is working.....right? But somehow in our society women who are working outside of the house are known as “working women”.
In a luxurious hotel we left the room in a mess but when we return it’s neat, clean and tidy. It’s not something magical. There are staffs who are being paid to do this.

If your mom or wife is a homemaker you will face the same magic every single day. But sadly enough we always  forget to say a ‘thank you’ for that. A woman when works outside she is charging for her time, talent and hard work. A homemaker who does everything selflessly to make her family comfortable, only looks for love, appreciation and a little bit of your time.

Money can buy an apartment but that is not home until there is a person to take care of you.
Home is made out of love, caring for each other, appreciating each other. A housewife does this significant job of making a home.
In spite of doing everything for their family we always stamp them as "what a life....no work to do...just sitting at home."

They are not sitting at home, they are making your home. They are sacrificing their dreams, comfort zone, home, desire, happiness everything to please their family members.

Starting from the breakfast menu, keeping in mind everyone's different choice up to cleaning of the kitchen after dinner and thinking about the menu of next day....it never ends.
And as a cherry on the top we are always judging herself and her work..."it shouldn't be like that...food was bad....why r u not like that?....why have you done this?.....Do you have any idea what's going in the outside world?......Don't you have any common sense?"...and many much more.

Let me tell you, if she has no idea about the outside world it's because she is busy to make your little world a bit better and comfortable.

In our country most of the women are asked and forced to give up their job after marriage. Ironically in many cases it is asked her husband who has promised to be with her in every step of life. Pressure of in-laws is also a matter here. Once the girl quit her job the journey of being taken for granted starts. Rarely a housewife is asked whether she has eaten something or not.

Being a housewife is not shameful. Managing home is nothing less than managing a company. Salute to all of them who are sacrificing their emotions to take care of that of others'.

If your mom or wife is a homemaker please make them feel special. Your little appreciation can make their day. Don't be shy to say that "she is  a homemaker".....it's one of the unsung and finest arts of the world.
