How to Identify Oily Skin?

i. Secretes oil in the cheek and t-zone area.
ii. Shiny appearance most of the time.
iii. Feels sticky to touch.
iv. Acne proneness and blackheads are two major problems.
v. Due to oil production skin pores get enlarged and attract dust which again clogs the pores causing acne.

Should I moisturize oily skin?

Yes, we do need to use moisturizer even if we have oily skin. The sticky, slick, patchy feeling of the skin always makes us think that we don’t need to apply moisturizer and we ignore the most important part of getting healthy skin.

One thing we need to understand very clearly is that the slickness  comes from the excess oil secretion by skin itself. Moisturizing is about hydrating the skin, it is about giving skin the required amount of water to avoid the problems of dry skin.

Proper cleansing of the face is mandatory to put any cream.

This was a list of my convenience. There are thousands of brands available in the market. Whatever you buy, make sure that it is genuine. And if you have highly sensitive skin then consult a doctor first before applying anything at all.

Is cold cream good for oily skin?

During winter it can be used with required quantities as there is an extra need for hydration. Also, it gives a cooling effect to the skin.

But speaking of using regularly, when my skin is already producing oils what is the point of putting oily cream again. Rather I would go for any hydro boosting product.

Again every skin is unique. Simply, follow what it says.

Is Vaseline good for oily skin?

Vaseline works as a boundary on our skin by protecting the moisture we already have. It prevents the illumination of moisture and strikes a proper balance of water.

Helps to protect any itching, inflammation from being exposed. A wonderful thing to heal chapped, dry, flaky lips. Very easy going to remove makeup, especially for the eyes.

Though coconut oil is the best as a makeup remover.
